1. Principal Legal Counsel

Minimum requirements for this job
i. Have Bachelor of Law degree.
ii. Have been admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
iii. Be in possession of a current practicing certificate.
iv. Have served in the grade of Legal Counsel or in a comparable and relevant position for a minimum period of seven (7) years with at least five (5) years of legislative, drafting and general litigation experience.
v. Have proficiency in the use of basic computer applications.

The following qualification(s) will be an added advantage:-
i. A CS (K) or a master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a University recognized in Kenya or its equivalent.
ii. Membership to a professional body/association.
iii. Have attended a Senior Management course and or Strategic Leadership Development Programme.

2. Senior Clerk Assistant I

Requirements for Appointment
i. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a university recognized in Kenya.
ii. Been exposed to the operations of a legislature through attachments, seminars, conferences and workshops.
iii. Proven commitment to, and timely execution of duties and responsibilities in previous designations.
iv. Have wide experience on the role, functions and operations of a legislature.
v. Demonstrable interest and commitment to the aims, objectives and principles of a devolved legislature.
vi. Good command of spoken and written English and Kiswahili coupled with good report writing skills.
vii. Three (3) years’ relevant working experience.
viii. Attended a middle management level course from a recognized institution.
ix. A CS (K) or a Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.

3. Senior Works Superintendent Officer I

Requirements for Appointment:
i. A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
ii. Registration with the Engineers Registration Board.
iii. Membership with the Institute of Engineers of Kenya.
iv. Have attained a minimum of a C + (plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, or an equivalent qualification.
v. Three (3) years’ relevant working experience.
vi. Higher National Diploma in Electrical/ Construction or Mechanical engineering from Kenya National Examinations Council will be an added advantage.

4. Second Clerk Assistant II

Requirements for appointment
i. An officer must have satisfactorily served in the grade of clerk assistant III or equivalent position in either the public or private sector for at least three (3) years.
ii. Bachelor’s degree in law, political science or any other social sciences from a recognized university; and,
iii. Have shown merit and ability in work performance and results.
iv. Experience in managing and serving Boards will be an added advantage.
v. Attended a middle management level course from a recognized institution.

5. Hansard Reporter II

Requirements for Appointment
i. Have a degree in a relevant discipline or Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication
A Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies (KNEC) with Typing III (50 w.p.m)/Computerized Document Processing III, Shorthand III(100/110 w.p.m)/Audio-typing III and Business English/Communications II from KNEC.
ii. Three (3) years relevant experience.
iii. Demonstrable knowledge of the working of hansard reporting and legislative proceedings and committee systems.
iv. Have proficiency in the use of basic computer applications.

6. Accountant III

Requirements for Appointment:
i. Professional Accounting of CPA I or ACCA Level I; or
ii. Diploma in Accountancy/Business Management or any related.
iii. Three (3) years’ relevant working experience.
iv. Have the ability to organize time, manage a variety of tasks simultaneously and resolve routine problems independently.
v. Be proficient in computer applications.

7. Driver III

For appointment to the grade of Driver Grade III, a candidate must have:
i. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
ii. A valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the officer is required to drive.
iii. Passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III; and
iv. At least two (2) years previous satisfactory driving experience.
